Treadmills Offer Great Benefits

If you like to run or walk, a treadmill can help you keep up your stamina during winter months when inclement weather may prevent you from taking your regular run or walk outdoors.

Whether you saunter or run at a good clip, a treadmill can accomodate all types of exercisers.

Because of the ease of use, anyone can quickly figure out how to work a treadmill. It has various speeds, intervals and degrees of difficulty so a good treadmill can go a long way to prevent boredom with your workouts. It also allows you to use hand weights simultanous to your walking which is a great way to burn more calories and build several muscle groups at the same time. Can't beat that!

Some come with all types of "bells and whistles." On some models you can even monitor your heart rate while you exercise.

Treadmills are by far the number one exercise piece of equipment that people choose when they set out to buy fitness equipment. It seems to come to mind first.
One benefit a treadmill provides that your regular workout environment outdoors probably does not is you can watch TV while you do your exercise. Go ahead and fire up your favorite TV program and make yourself stay on the treadmill through the whole show. Before you know it, an hour will have gone by, you will have burned several hundred calories and you hardly even noticed as you became engrossed in the show. Try this. You will be surprised how easy it is to get into a regular routine so that every time that TV show comes on you will WANT to exercise!

Remember, even the best treadmill will do you no good if it sits in your basement gathering dust.

Find a good machine and use it on a regular basis. Your body will be grateful and reward you well for regular workouts on your treadmill.
